What Is Integrative Health Coaching?
Can you say that your doctor truly knows you? That they take the time, or quite frankly, have the time to identify the root cause of what’s ailing you? That your healthcare is personalized to your individual needs?
For most, the answer to these questions is a resounding “no”. It’s simply not the way most traditional practitioners work. To be fair, it’s not how they’re trained to work. Their role is to rapidly diagnose and prescribe.
Studies show that the United States spends more per person on health care than most developed nations but has some of the worst health outcomes. We have the highest obesity rates and the highest rate of citizens with multiple chronic health conditions. Even without factoring in addiction, we’re the most medicated generation in U.S. history.
Identifying the root cause of what ails you is of low priority for most physicians. Treatment plans are often generic and there’s not a system in place to hold you accountable.
As an integrative health coach, my role is to get to know you. I work to treat the whole person; mind, body, and spirit. Conventional treatments and therapies are still part of the mix, but we’ll explore complementary alternative therapies.

We analyze enzymes that detect your genetic makeup and the mutations that influence your health. With one cheek swap, we test 27 genes. You’ll receive a detailed report and your next steps. Unlike most other medical tests, your genetics don’t change—so this test is only required once.

Your blood offers invaluable insights into your health. Beyond symptoms, it provides quantifiable proof of health, including potential deficiencies. Unfortunately, many physicians only order bloodwork when something is “wrong”. My approach is more proactive and eliminates the guesswork.

There’s an essential aspect of whole-body health we don’t hear about enough, you must be willing to change. It’s ingrained in us to go to the doctor, get a diagnosis, and take the pill we’re prescribed. However, a diagnosis and pill don’t always identify the root cause, they minimize or mask symptoms. If there is an identifiable root cause, there typically no support beyond generic advice. This might sound something like:
- You’re obese, lose weight.
- Try to reduce your stress.
- It runs in your family.
- Try to work out more.
- Improve your nutrition.
